From The Past: March 3, 2008

I heard from Andrew last night. He has finished his infantry training and will graduate tomorrow. Right after graduation, he will fly to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He said there are 97 guys in his platoon this time and 39 failed this last test which was over weapons. He said those who failed will have another chance to take the test today. If they don’t pass, they have to go through the entire infantry training again. Needless to say, he is very happy to have this portion of his training finished.

Those who passed their test were given time to shop, eat, and make phone calls yesterday. He said he bought a backpack and ate at Wendy’s. He ordered two cheeseburgers, fries, a coke, and a flurry. I am glad he can finally get something in his stomach besides MRE’s!
