From The Past: October 30, 2007

This weekend I was able to meet my mom’s cousin, Dana. She is visiting from Florida and had not been to Kentucky in thirteen years. We watched an old home video that included Dana. She hasn’t changed one bit; her laugh and smile are exactly the same as they were all those years ago.

That same night, we had our choice of chili or turkey hash which dad had prepared. I had the chili because I have been craving it for a month now. I also had a delicious pimento cheese sandwich.

Mom went to get blood and platelets today and they had run out of both. She said she had to wait forever. You don’t think of a big place like The University of Kentucky running out of blood, but they do!
