I sure do miss my friend, Guido.

This picture was taken on a cold day in 2008. The temperature was right where it should be inside the house, but once I lost weight, I stayed cold all the time.

So, while the sun shone through the back door, I would grab a stack of magazines or a book and sit in the sun. My friend, Guido was always by my side. He wanted to be with me no matter what I was doing.

In a few years down the road, when we are older, Kevin and I might get another pet. Right now, we can’t dedicate the time and attention a pet needs and deserves, but someday …
