From The Past: November 25, 2005

The Christmas movies are out and waiting to be watched.

It doesn’t matter to us if we see some of these or not, but there are those that are a tradition in our home. One of these in particular is A Christmas Story. This is the story about Ralphie, and how all he wants for Christmas is a Red Ryder BB Gun.

When Andrew was younger, his papaw did just what they did in this movie. He let Andrew open everything and think there were no more presents. Then, he suddenly felt behind the bookshelf and said, “Oh, what’s this? We must have forgotten about this one.” He then handed the package to Andrew.

Andrew tore into that package and could hardly believe his eyes when he saw that BB gun. His papaw showed him how to use it and took him right outside for some target practice.

A few other must-see Christmas movies are Christmas Vacation and Home Alone. Both of these movies are terrific for the whole family.
