From The Past: September 21, 2003
Kevin was still feeling bad today so I went for a walk with my sister and her kids. I thought it was going to be nice and cool, but we sweated our butts off. It was not a pretty picture! We STILL haven’t shut the pool down, but the water is much too cool to take a dip anyway. If Kevin is up for it, we will be shutting it down this coming weekend. I guess we’ll have to do that in between my niece’s birthday party on Saturday. I hope he feels better because it should be a full weekend. Lucky for us the kids are out of school for fall break all the following week. That will be nice. Ashley has been counting down the days.
We watched a really freaky movie this afternoon called The Ring. As I have stated before, I don’t care for scary movies, but my sister had begged me to watch this one and so I promised her that I would. It was really a psychological thriller for the most part. I wouldn’t suggest watching it at night. There is no way that I would have watched it if it hadn’t of been in the middle of the afternoon. My sister, Jennifer, watched it at 1:00 in the morning and regretted it. Hopefully, when I lay my head down on the pillow tonight, those images don’t haunt me. I don’t know why I let her talk me into watching that stuff! After I say my prayers, I’ll just have to think about bubble gum, presents, candy, colors, flowers, and hugs and kisses. Happy thoughts! Good night, John Boy!
