I have always had an interest in the events of the Holocaust. A few books that I have read on the subject are: The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris.
Night by Elie Wiesel
Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl
Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl
These books are not what anyone would consider light reading because the reader is very aware that these were actual events and not imagined. The same is true for Holocaust movies. I won’t say that I enjoy them, but I do find them hauntingly captivating. If you are interested in the Holocaust, a few must-see movies I would recommend are:
Schindler’s List
The Pianist
The Boy in The Striped Pajamas
The reason I mention this subject is because I have subscribed to a YouTube channel called OxfordUnion. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCY7dD6waquGnKTZSumPMTlQ
This channel features guests from different backgrounds including actors, comedians, politicians, authors and so on. The most recent talk that I had the pleasure of listening to was from Eva Clarke. Eva was born in Mauthausen Concentration Camp in 1945. Out of 15 family members, only she and her mother survived.
If, like me, you are interested in the Holocaust, I urge you to listen to her talk. She was captivating. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3HmeidS8Z4&t=2s
