This afternoon, Kevin, Ashley and I attended the wedding of Ashley’s best friend, Jennifer. Ashley was the Maid of Honor, so she was actually in the wedding and gave a speech afterwards. It was a very nice ceremony. The bride looked beautiful and I loved the suits and ties that the groom and groomsmen were wearing.

After the ceremony, light appetizers were served while the wedding party had pictures taken. Once pictures had been taken, we watched Jennifer and Mark’s first dance. Later, we watched Jennifer dance with her dad. They had a DJ who played lots of great get-up-and-dance music which the crowd loved. I think I smiled the entire time because I was enjoying watching Ashley dance.

I was really impressed with dinner. They had salad, rolls, chicken, beef brisket, green beans and cheesy hash brown potatoes. I didn’t eat the chicken, but the beef brisket was exceptional. I actually had two slices and I think Kevin had three. We totally forgot about the wedding cake until it was too late. We had eaten so much for dinner that we were full, but it really was a great dinner, so neither of us minded.

I am so very happy for Jennifer and Mark and I am honored that they included us on their special day.
