From The Past: May 3, 2009
I have a few pictures I would like to share with you.
Friday, I saw this beautiful carriage at Home Goods:
It would look lovely sitting in someone’s garden. As you can see there are no pedals, so it is for looks only, but I bet you could take some beautiful pictures in it with the right setting.
Then I saw this adorable little bat hanging outside Target:
If I had a container, I would love to have captured the sweet little thing. You know I enjoy keeping caterpillars and the like. This is a little different, but he was awfully cute and it would have been fun studying his behavior.
Saturday, we were surprised to be visiting Kevin’s dad at Saint Joseph Hospital. We were already in Lexington on our way to visit their home, when his mom called and said his dad was in the emergency room. His heart had a flutter in between beats, so they were awaiting the cardiologist.
I told you about his open heart surgery on April 11th. Since then, he has had his heart shocked back to a normal beat and has been at home recovering.
This Tuesday he will have a procedure to put his heart back in rhythm once again. Until then, he is giving himself injections to help his heart stay at the correct pace.
I took this picture in the Chapel:
