Every Flavor

From The Past: April 11, 2009

Today was beautiful although we didn’t spend much time outside except for taking Guido for a walk.

Kevin’s dad had open heart surgery earlier this week so we went to see him. He had five bypasses. They harvested three graphs from one of his legs. He is currently in CTVU which stands for Cardiothoracic Vascular Unit. This is where they take a person immediately following surgery. They are hoping he will get his own room soon. As of tonight, he was eating soft foods like mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, and Salisbury steak. He has also walked just a short distance, but even a short distance is progress.

Brighter news: We bought some Jelly Belly jelly beans:

My personal favorite Jelly Belly jelly beans were found in bags of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans. I believe one was called Buttered Toast and the other was something to do with Rum. They were awesome. https://amzn.to/4i8VNVJ
