From The Past: March 9, 2009
I would have never thought before I began the book The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory that I would become so immersed with the characters and setting. I cannot completely describe how much I am enjoying this series. https://amzn.to/3R14EO1
The only thing that bothers me is that I am a very orderly person, so if there is a series of books which takes place in an order of timeline, I want to read them that way. Immediately after finishing The Other Boleyn Girl, I discovered that The Constant Princess actually should have been read first in order to go with the correct timeline. No one ever mentioned this to me. Why?!
Philippa Gregory did not write the books in order of the timeline. However, if you ever pick one up, keep in mind that the order is:
* The Constant Princess (Katherine of Aragon)
* The Other Boleyn Girl (Anne Boleyn)
* The Boleyn Inheritance (Anne of Cleves and Katherine Howard)
* The Queens Fool (Mary Tudor and Elizabeth 1)
* The Virgin’s Lover (Elizabeth 1)
* The Other Queen (Mary Queen of Scots)
I am currently engrossed in the third book, The Boleyn Inheritance which is why there hasn’t been much blogging going on.
If you like Victoria Holt these books are much along the same line.
