Her Right Hand

From The Past: January 22, 2009

As the snow fell a few days ago:

This little angel sent from Heaven watched:

He is the sweetest, most innocent little guy I have ever known. He is always here for me to hug, and believe me; I give him giant hugs with my arms wrapped around his body and my head pressed against his back. His warmth feels good. Sometimes that’s all I need is a good hug.

I took Mom to our local hospital today so she could receive her antibiotics. Her last day to receive these antibiotics will be Monday and then she has an appointment with her Leukemia doctor on Tuesday.

The IV needle is supposed to be changed every three to five days. Today was a day where she had a new needle inserted. The nurse found a good place the first time! (Because of the chemotherapy, she is harder to stick.)

This is where the IV needle will be until they remove it on Monday:

They gave her some gloves to wear when she takes a bath, but I think Dad will have to wash the dishes 😉
