From The Past: December 26, 2008
Now that Christmas is over I can show you what Kevin has been working on.
He knitted my mom a pair of socks and wrote her a poem which says:
I made these socks for you to keep your feet warm,
but they are not made to wear outside in a storm.
So, keep them inside and use them for years,
Just don’t put them over your ears!
That would be silly and you don’t want that,
To keep your ears warm, I need to make you a hat!
He also knitted his mom a pair of socks and found a cute poem on the Internet to pin to her pair:
Each day, each week, each month, each season
We’ve become close and that’s the reason
Thru weather of rain, snow or heat,
Having you as a mom just can’t be beat!
I care if you’re freezin’ with ice on your nose,
So I gave you this gift
For your ten little toes!
As you know, he knitted me a pair a while back. I love them because they keep my feet so warm. Sometimes my feet get so hot I actually have to take them off.
The good thing is, the more you wash them, the softer they get 😉
