Love Songs

From The Past: October 17, 2008

I remember spending hours when I was younger sitting by the radio just waiting for my favorite songs to play so I could record them. I hoped so bad they would play the song I had in my mind as I sat there with my finger hovering over the record button.

I still have a few of those homemade cassette tapes. This is one I made around 1991.

Side 1:

Billy Preston & Syreeta Wright – With You I’m Born Again

The Commodores – Three Times A Lady

Lionel Ritchie & Diana Ross – Endless Love

Eric Clapton – Anything For Your Love

Ivan Neville – Why Can’t I Fall In Love

Righteous Brothers – You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’

Peter Gabriel – In Your Eyes

Bryan Adams – (Everything I Do) I Do It For You

Bryan Adams – Heaven

Chris Isaak – Wicked Game

Toto – I Won’t Hold You Back

Side 2:

Luther Vandross – Here and Now

Dan Hill – Never Thought That I Could Love

Chicago – Hard To Say I’m Sorry

Chicago – Will You Still Love Me

Chicago – You’re The Inspiration

Chicago – Hard Habit To Break

Chicago – If She Would Have Been Faithful

David Foster & Marilyn Martin – And When She Danced

Righteous Brothers – Unchained Melody

Kenny Loggins – Back To Avalon

Kenny Loggins – Meet Me Half Way

It amazes me how effortless it is to hear these songs now on YouTube, when they were so difficult to obtain on tape (free of charge from the radio) back then. That was only seventeen years ago!
