Paula Deen Candles: Take 2

From The Past: October 15, 2008

A few days ago, I discussed Paula Deen Candles being sold at Wal-Mart and my dismay at not finding a picture anywhere on the Internet.

Well, we went to Wal-Mart today and while we were there, I took a few pictures just so I could show ya’ll these candles.

In the photo below, the first four rows are all Paula Deen Candles. In the fourth row you see gift-type boxes of three small candles. It’s too bad there aren’t three different candles in the sets.

In this second picture, I wanted to show you a closer view of the jar candles. You can open each jar to smell them. I believe my favorite is the orange colored one called “Butterscotch Dip”. The name even sounds yummy! Other flavors include but are not limited to: Raspberry Fig Preserves, Creamy Apple Butter, Mango Chutney, Crème Brule, Fried Apple Pie, Pumpkin Roll Cake, and Bob’s Peppermint Pie.

Kevin pointed out that the back of every Paula Deen label has the recipe to go with the candle so that you could potentially make the Pumpkin Roll Cake or whichever scent you bought. How neat!

Below are the Jelly Belly candles which I also talked about. In my opinion, these do not smell as good, but I do like the way they come in gift sets with a variety of scents:

Kevin also spotted these Cinnabon candles on the bottom two shelves. They are much more expensive if you buy them online. Even the largest of these Cinnabon candles (17.5 oz.) is only $8.47 at Wal-Mart in comparison to the minuscule 12.5 oz. jar online for $12.99 plus shipping! Why pay more?!
