From The Past: June 4, 2007

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, we ordered Ashley’s birthday cake from Mondelli’s Bakery. If you are a regular reader here, you already know what great work they have done on past cakes.

I took a few photos while we were picking up her cake. I thought you might be curious about the other goodies they sell besides cakes because they don’t have a website. I told the girl behind the counter they really need one. That way, they could showcase the original cakes they have decorated.

The cookies on the bottom row of this photo all have elaborate designs. To the far left are palm trees with dinosaurs and then there is a flower with a frog, butterflies, and a fence with a chicken and lamb.

Ashley got a petit four (top shelf, far right) on the day we ordered her cake and then another one when we picked it up a few days later! She said it was delicious. I had to take her word for it, but I have no doubts.
