From The Past: February 9, 2007
I feel like I rolled down the car window, pulled $30 out of my purse and let it go in the wind. Why? Well, we decided to try a new restaurant called Taste of China. The parking lot was packed which you would think means it has to be great, right?
No.
It had a horrible atmosphere, was overpriced, and the food was, for the most part, all deep-fried.
I was not impressed and I have no plans to return – ever. I should mention that I don’t like buffets and that is all that was available at this restaurant. You go in the door, pay for a buffet, the hostess finds you a spot to sit, and you fill your plate. Well, other people were filling their plates.
I’ll probably be sick later …
Update 2023: This restaurant is still open in Winchester and to my knowledge, does great business. It’s just not our type of food. Andrew loves places like this, but I can’t get on board. I would much rather eat American, Mexican or Italian food.
