Christmas Eve 06′

From The Past: December 24, 2006

Together, the family made the decision to open all gifts on Christmas Eve.

We gathered at mom and dad’s house and had little smokies, a cheese ball, peanuts, oyster crackers, sausage balls, Ritz cracker date delight, Paula Deen’s sweet bacon wraps, buffalo chicken wing dip with tortilla chips, mini cheesecake presents, roasted cinnamon pecans, and a summer sausage and cheese plate.

I have to say this was a great year of presents for Kevin and me. He got a PSP (PlayStation Portable), a big, black Sunbeam mixer and Cooks Essentials Bake Ware. Mom and dad say this stuff is for the both of us, but it is Kevin who will reap the most from these gifts and I am SO happy for him!

I, on the other hand, was ecstatic over other things such as Estee Lauder’s Youth Dew perfume, a 3-disk CD set called Forever Disco, a Nightmare Before Christmas figurine set, 2 People Weekly books: one celebrates the 70’s and the other celebrates the 80’s. The best part is each of these books comes with its own CD.

In addition, I can hardly wait to sit down and look through another book they gave me: Life: Christmas Around the World. I’ve skimmed the pages and the pictures look wonderful. We got a new Martha Stewart comforter set and sheets, the Superman movie collection, plus the new Superman Returns movie, a beautiful Pug throw:

And this awesome frog thermometer:

There were clothes, and calendars, bath towels, and other things.
