From The Past: November 25, 2006

Thanksgiving on Friday went well.

I think this was one of the only times we saw Miss Prissy throughout the day:

Once the kids arrived, she was nowhere to be seen.

We played lots of games: Pass The Present, Guess the Movie From the Quote, The “F” Word (all the answers began with the letter F), Apples To Apples, Cranium Turbo, Bingo, and more. Everyone went home with a prize. Since I love games, this was my favorite part of the day.

There was lots of food including green beans, mashed potatoes, hash brown casserole, deviled eggs, turkey, country ham, cranberries, macaroni and cheese, broccoli casserole, oyster casserole, sweet potatoes, salad, fruit salad, rolls, and gravy. I’ve probably left something out!

There were six desserts to choose from including Ooey Gooey Bars, Dirt Cake, Amaretto Cake, Peanut Butter Pie, Pumpkin Cheesecake, and Chess Pie.

Everything was delicious and I know mom appreciated everyone’s contributions to the dinner and dessert. Every little bit helps when you’re serving fourteen people.
