Shopping

From The Past: November 4, 2006

I feel like we got a lot accomplished today even though we only bought five presents. As I mentioned yesterday, we did go in Joseph Beth and Hallmark. Hallmark has so many pretty Christmas items! Other than those stores, we were in The Disney Store, Bath & Body Works, Target, Gap Kids, and Dillards. The mall wasn’t near as bad as I thought it would be. We found a parking space relatively close to the door and we got in and out with ease. You can’t beat that!

We stayed away from the entire downtown area because there was a football game at 1:00. Maybe next weekend we’ll get down there. I need to visit The Book Cellar (haha).

When we got home, Kevin got the mail. We had eight pieces and EVERY piece was a political ad. I’m glad none were bills, but these people are spending so much money on these ads. We’ve been getting no less than two ads a day from the same man for a week now.

Ahh, it will all be over on Tuesday.

Update 2022: It’s funny reading about the political ads in 2006 because we have been getting them every single day as of late. I cannot wait for the election to be over. I’m also getting more texts and calls from unknown people. I’m sure they have to do with the election as well. It’s annoying.
