Do you see a problem?
Although it doesn’t appear so, I have read most of the books from the first photo. I read anywhere from two to four books a month. Knowing this, you would think the pile would have decreased from almost two years ago.
One of my problems is, I have so many authors I am interested in; I don’t want to read only one book they have written; I want to read them all!
At this moment, Mitch Albom has a new book out that I am dying to get my hands on. I’m trying to wait until the next time we visit The Book Cellar to look for it so I can get it cheaper. However, if I’m in any bookstores soon, I may just go ahead and buy it. It’s only around $11 anyway.
See, that’s another problem. I’m already reading something else and I know I won’t get to Albom’s new book until later, but I still have to have it now. I think I’m afraid that I’ll forget about it if I don’t buy it and then I’ll never read it. That’s valid reasoning, don’t you think?
Currently, I am reading Agatha Christie: An Autobiography and loving every minute of it. It’s wonderful to live vicariously through another person. I will be sad when it’s over.
I guess if books are my only vice, then I am doing okay. (We won’t discuss the chocolate.) I will continue to buy and the stack will rise higher, but one of these days, I will get caught up. You’ll see!
