I have such a heavy heart thinking about Queen Elizabeth’s passing today. She has been the only queen I have known. Her gentle face always comes to mind when I think of the United Kingdom.
She was dignified, modest and reserved. Her speeches were always filled with pearls of wisdom. It’s a shame we don’t strive to live by her standards.
A few quotes I love:
“Everyone is our neighbor, no matter what race, creed or color.”
“It has always been easy to hate and destroy. To build and to cherish is much more difficult.”
And
“Giant leaps often start with small steps.”
When I think of Buckingham Palace, it seems so cold – like the heart of the house has gone. I can only hope for brighter days ahead when William and Katherine visit King Charles III and bring along their beautiful children.

I thought of you when I heard Tami, so sorry. 😞
I thought of you as soon as I heard. I am so glad y’all got to go to London and experience all the festivities. That is such a great picture.
My heart is heavy too over her passing. And I thought of you when I heard the news of her death.
My best friend and I (she is our age too, Tami)..we’ve been talking about our favorite or most poignant memories/thoughts of Queen Elizabeth. One of the most profound things for me has always been that being Queen was never what she wanted. Margaret was much better suited for it. But she did what was expected of her.. and so much more.
Anyway, I feel very sad she’s gone.
Farewell, dear lady… you done good! ♥️👑💔
Beautiful words. I will miss her!
