Now that my nieces are both adults with one child each of her own, reading stories I wrote from their childhood cracks me up. I’m so glad I documented the funny stuff because I would have never remembered them otherwise. The following is from May 2, 2006 and it still makes me laugh today – not imagining my niece, but imagining my sister!
One of my nieces came to my front door holding a little piece of Lamb’s Ear. I wonder where the little dear got it?! I told her I would rather she didn’t pick pretty things from my yard.
Apparently, she was having a bad day because my sister explained to me that while driving down the Bypass the same little dear threw one of her flip-flops from the car window.
Now, I would have driven on and told her the flip-flop was gone forever and explained you don’t EVER throw ANYTHING from a car window. I would have turned it into a learning experience.
Instead of doing that, my sister stopped the car in the middle of the road and proceeded to hold her arms up to stop traffic while she retrieved that $2 flip flop!
Hilarious 😂
Lol!!!! Great story!
