The Unexpected

From The Past: October 8, 2005

This picture makes me happy because books make me happy:

It was taken earlier today at the Lexington Public Library in the children’s department.

We visited the cemetery and I found this:

At the bottom edge of the globe it says, “The World Was Their Classroom”. I am wondering if this is a special section for teachers.

This stained-glass monument caught my eye:

This curved concrete bench is a nice place to sit:

Outside the mausoleum, we spotted this pumpkin pot:

It added a splash of color to an otherwise dreary day. It was also totally unexpected. Sometimes the unexpected can be nice.
