Ashley treated me to lunch at Cheddar’s. I hadn’t been to Cheddar’s in years. As a matter of fact, the Cheddar’s restaurant located closer to our side of town, caught fire and closed. Since it didn’t burn down, we fully expected the company to repair the damages and then reopen. This location was extremely popular. They were always busy so we never questioned their wanting to reopen.

Imagine our surprise when, after many months of closure, they removed the sign and announced it was changing to an Olive Garden. Even though I didn’t eat at Cheddar’s often, I was disappointed it was changing to an Olive Garden. This is a restaurant we will never visit. Kevin may go there to do a review for his “Lunchtime Review” YouTube channel, but we will never go there together because, we just aren’t that crazy about it. I do believe Cheddar’s will be greatly missed on that side of town.

Anytime we ate there, I always ordered the same thing; a Club Sandwich with a side of French fries. It was delicious every time.

When I read over my menu on my lunch date with Ashley, I noticed they had removed the Club Sandwich from the menu. So, I ordered what Ashley ordered which was the Chicken Tender Platter. Ashley insured me it was delicious and she was not wrong. It was in fact delicious. The chicken was hot, fresh and very crispy. I will definitely order this meal again should she choose to eat there.

Also, they have machines at the table that allow you to pay right there. I always hated the server taking my debit card away and bringing it back later. Now, with these machines, there is no more worry.
