From The Past: May 7, 2005

I thought the kids last day of school was supposed to be this coming Friday. It turns out they have to go until Tuesday the 17th because they had two snow days. I would have thought allowances were made for a few snow days during scheduling, but apparently, I was wrong.

Some other startling news: our neighbors took their Christmas lights down today, this seventh day of MAY. Gee, I thought they looked great with the newly planted flowers – NOT!

I tried some fabulous ice cream tonight. It was Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Therapy. It is made with chocolate ice cream, chocolate cookies, and swirls of chocolate pudding ice cream. Once you eat this, nothing else is going to do! This is truly Chocolate Therapy!

For Mother’s Day Kevin bought me a Vera Bradley purse. It’s very colorful and slightly larger than my old one. I love it!

He is also cooking me a Mother’s Day feast tomorrow. We are having Baby Back Ribs, Corn on the Cob, Baked Beans, and Cole Slaw.
