From The Past: April 18, 2005

Just about the entire weekend was spent outdoors. It was beautiful and not too hot. Here is the gazebo Kevin and I bought at Lowe’s:

The poles on our old tent were broken, so we had to buy a new one. This one has better supports and a bug net. The back of our house gets all the afternoon sun and there isn’t one shady place, so the gazebo is a must-have item during the summer.

The funny thing is the directions said it would take approximately 15 to 30 minutes to put together. That’s a laugh! It took us two and a half hours! The directions weren’t great and didn’t explain everything to the fullest, so we had to figure a lot out on our own. Fortunately, Kevin and I do read the directions. Many people would have tossed them first thing.
