From The Past: December 14, 2004

Let me tell you how goofy Kevin and I are.

Yesterday we went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. We parked straight down from the door. It was a long way down the parking lot, but still in clear view.

We were only in the store for maybe 15 minutes. We came out the same door that we originally entered and walked straight back down the aisle looking for the truck. You can’t miss it; it’s red for goodness sakes. We didn’t see it where we thought we had left it so we walked down the aisle a little further. We still didn’t see the truck. So, we started looking in other aisles. I asked Kevin, “Do you think someone took our truck?” He said there was no way they could.

So, he starts pushing the panic button on his key ring. This should make the horn start honking until you push the button again. Well, he’s pushing it and we aren’t hearing anything. No truck. No honking.

I finally start back up the aisle and realize to my horror that we had driven MY car to Wal-Mart! My small, gold, Saturn. AAAARRRRRGGGGGG!

The sad part about this whole thing is that we aren’t even in our mid-thirties. What will our minds be like in a few more years? At least it was both of us and not just me.
