I bought Jennifer some Christmas elves from Kirkland’s. She loves elves, so when I spotted these, I just had to buy them for her.

If you’ve ever visited a Kirkland’s store, you know that it has a very distinct smell from all of their scented sachets. They look like this:

When they put Jennifer’s elves in a bag, all that I could smell when we got home was a wonderful mixture of all their best scents. I told Jennifer to close her eyes and smell the bag to guess where I had bought her a gift. She took a deep breath in, and immediately guessed – Kirkland’s! It really does smell nice in there.

Jennifer loved her elves, by the way. They were $8.99 each:

This was our first time seeing Jon in person since his accident. You would never know that anything happened to his face. He looks great! His arm was bandaged, so we didn’t see that, but he said that he is no longer taking pain medication. He said that he’s been washing it and doing his normal everyday activities.

He realizes how close he came to total devastation and will take his time (and use diesel) in the future. Thank you again to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.
