From The Past: May 17, 2004

I went for my yearly dreaded gynecological exam this morning. I had to make an appointment with someone totally new because the person that I saw last year had gone elsewhere. It’s odd though; if I keep seeing someone new every year, I figure by the time I die, all of Kentucky will have seen Tami’s Treasures. Now isn’t that a pleasant thought?!

This was a new, female doctor at a new office. She was fabulous to say the least. She allowed Kevin to stay in the exam room the entire time which impressed me.

I am happy to say that the exam went great and there was no pain or discomfort involved. I have had exams by many male doctors who have caused distress and soreness, so this was a breeze! I was amazed at how easy and ordinary one of these exams could be! Maybe when I have to reschedule next year, I won’t feel so anxious. Let’s just hope this doctor is still there 🙂
