Currently (2019) Andrew and Christina have been searching for a new kitchen table for some time now. Their table is nice, but it has grooves which are bad for catching crumbs. Since it’s not a flat surface, it makes it more of a pain to wipe off.
Today on one of our local Facebook trading posts, someone had a nice table and 6 chairs they were selling for $125. One of the chairs is a captain’s chair (this means it has arms). It has a whole shabby chic vibe going on.
This isn’t a great picture of it and you only see four of the six chairs, but it now belongs to Andrew and Christina.
I called my dad and he jumped right up to help with his truck. It really made me feel good that we could get this for them as an early Christmas present. It felt like a team effort with dad there. His help was very much appreciated.
Gavin went to the dentist today and had a baby tooth removed. If you recall, he just lost his first tooth a few days ago. This was another tooth that was loose, but had not come out yet even though they had been working on it. The reason it had to come out was because two of his permanent teeth had already come in behind the baby teeth. The dentist gave him some happy gas and a shot and the tooth came right out. They gave him a plastic tooth shaped container to keep his baby tooth in. He was very proud and made sure that we saw it when we dropped the table off.
The Past: November 18, 2003 The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers finally came out today and it has almost 40 more minutes than the original movie! I guess I will finally get to see it this weekend although I have no idea when exactly since the weekends are so full here lately.
I also picked up The Sims: Makin’ Magic at Best Buy this weekend. The kids and I have been having a blast playing it!
