Last night, Gavin lost his first tooth. Andrew Facetimed me so that I could see Gavin and talk to him. He had a look on his face that I had never seen before. It is best described as the look that Forrest Gump has when he is running with his leg braces and they begin to fall off. When he looks down at the braces and then looks back up – THAT was the look on Gavin’s face. He was SO proud of himself because he had been working to get that tooth out for two weeks.
Today, Kevin and I were shopping in Lexington when Ashley called and asked if we wanted to meet for lunch. We decided to visit Old Chicago Pizza since it had been a while since we had been there. Both Kevin and Ashley ordered the lunch buffet. This way, they could get a variety of different pizzas plus cheese sticks. I ordered a pizza called Chicago 7. It had pepperoni, Italian sausage, red onions, black olives, green peppers, sliced mushrooms and cheese. There were three choices in the crust: Chicago Thick, Tavern Thin or Ale Crust. I chose Tavern Thin which was a mistake. It was floppy and not crisp at all. The toppings themselves were good, however I would never order that crust again. The reason I didn’t choose the Ale Crust is because I didn’t want an ale flavor and the Chicago Thick was ALL crust. The last time we were there, there was a standard crust. I don’t know why they would have changed it.
Kevin wasn’t satisfied with the buffet either. It seems like the flavors aren’t as good as they used to be. I don’t think we will go back for a long time. We would much rather buy a Bessie’s Revenge Screamin’ Sicilian.
