Today, on my Tami Dunn YouTube channel, I made a Canadian dessert called Nanaimo Bars. These 3-layer bars are named after the city of Nanaimo, British Columbia on Vancouver Island. Kevin and I first heard of them while watching The Amazing Race Canada. Right when I saw them, I knew I had to try them.
They do require a lot of ingredients:
Also, just know that you will be doing some dishes. This is the view that you never see in my videos:
This is the recipe I used: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/25095/nanaimo-bars-iii/
You need to know that you will need a lot more than 1 ounce of chocolate and 2 tsp. butter for the top layer. That is a massive typo. Also, these bars need to sit in the refrigerator for no less than three hours. If you try to remove and slice them before that time is up, they will fall apart.
All that being said, these are very rich and incredibly sweet bars. They are for people like me who have a huge sweet tooth.
