We have now seen five Avengers movies since I last blogged about them. We watched Thor, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: Winter Soldier.
Meeting the Frost Giants in Thor reminded me of the White Walkers in Game of Thrones.
You have to admit, there are a lot of similarities.
The Avengers was a terrific movie, but I’m having a hard time understanding why they would want the Hulk around. He seemed like a wild card when he first “turned” during this movie. He wasn’t on one side or the other, he was simply mad at everyone and wanted to harm anyone that he came into contact with. However, at the end of the movie when he “turned” again, he seemed to know which side he was on and made sure that he didn’t harm any of his friends. Maybe I’m not understanding his character, but I’m thinking if they can’t trust him, why call him in at all? The damage he does, seems to outweigh any good.
Iron Man 3 was a great watch as well. I love Ben Kingsley, so when I saw that he was in this movie, I was thrilled. His character did not disappoint. I have to add here that I love Tony Stark. He has the best sense of humor and has some of the funniest lines in any of these movies. Iron Man is definitely my favorite Avenger.
As we watched Captain America: Winter Soldier, I asked Kevin, “Why did they decide to put Michael Jackson in this movie?” If you don’t understand what I mean, just take a look at the pictures below.
Every time Winter Soldier came on the screen, I couldn’t help but think of Michael Jackson. That being said, this was an action-packed movie. Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson got a lot of screen time and I enjoyed Anthony Mackie very much. He was in The Hurt Locker which is one of my favorite war movies.
The next movie we plan to watch is Avengers: Age of Ultron. I look forward to seeing Iron Man again.
