In a few weeks, Ashley will have her own classroom. In the meantime, our living room looks as if we are getting ready for a yard sale. While Kevin and I were on vacation, she went through her collection of children’s books and picked out the appropriate reading materials for the grade she will be teaching this year. That’s what started the pile in the living room. Since then, there have been trips to Target, Staples, Michaels, IKEA – you name a store and I can guarantee she has been there for school supplies.

The day that she moves into her classroom will be a lot of work for her, but also a lot of work for Kevin and I. We will be helping her move, but then Kevin will spend the day putting together shelves and other furniture that she purchased from IKEA. When it comes to helping us unbox items and organize them or put together furniture, Kevin would probably prefer to put the furniture together anyway. If Ashley allows me to vlog the process, you can bet that I will.
