Happy Easter!

Currently (2019)

Happy Easter everyone! We had a wonderful day with family. Andrew, Christina, Gavin and Amelia came over for Easter lunch. We didn’t have the typical meal like my mom used to make, but it was excellent none the less. Mom used to make things such as ham, potato salad, macaroni salad, dressed eggs, baked beans, rolls and so on. I love all of those things and would gladly make them; however, Andrew and Ashley are picky eaters and won’t eat half of those foods. So, we had, fried chicken, rolls, baked macaroni and cheese, corn, salad and hash brown casserole. As I said, I enjoyed everything, traditional or not.

After dinner, we gave Gavin and Amelia their Easter baskets. Gavin loved everything, but he especially enjoyed his Lego mystery packs. Amelia enjoyed opening her LOL Surprise dolls and pets. One thing for sure, the LOL Surprise packs take a while to open.

The trunk of Christina’s car was full, so Kevin and I took their Easter baskets and left-over food to their house for them. Christina and I sat out back and played with the kids and then, we took them for a walk.

Kevin and Andrew talked about their latest game obsession while we were gone.

When we got back home, I put the Easter decorations away. I think I was able to enjoy them longer than my Christmas decorations. I plan to do better this year and get my Christmas decorations out earlier. I want to enjoy them for as long as I can.

Lastly, I have to mention my dad’s new dog. He bought an Aussiedoodle. It’s a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle. They have named him Simon:

Armageddon

I finished my latest read today: Armageddon. I won’t give anything away here. I will just say “WOW!” There are many surprises and a big cliff hanger at the end. It kills me that I will have to wait until March 2004 for the next book, Glorious Appearing, to come out. I believe that that is the last book in the series since Christ comes back to reclaim His remnant. I don’t believe that I will start a new book today since I have several magazines to catch up on. Maybe I will start an Agatha Christie tomorrow.
