It’s unexpected things like this that make me happy:
If we had a third floor attic window, I would totally leave a ghost hanging there year-round … and maybe a pumpkin too 😉

we had a neighbor that left a plastic skull out on the lawn all year–and we had pumpkins up til last week–they were white pumpkins and we thought this special breed must not rot as they looked fine–then we lifted them and there insides fell out onto the sill.
