Currently: This afternoon, we visited with Andrew, Christina, Gavin & Amelia. Andrew’s birthday is tomorrow, so we wanted to spend time together. They ordered Papa John’s Pizza, breadsticks and Christina had baked a chocolate cake for dessert. Since Christina is vegetarian, they had ordered a Garden Fresh pizza. I had a slice of it and a slice of what seemed like a “meat lover’s” pizza. I really enjoyed the vegetarian pizza! Christina said that it normally comes with mushrooms, but she doesn’t like mushrooms so she had them leave those off. It had green peppers, onions, black olives and Roma tomatoes. I would order it again!
Since it was warm and sunny, we were able to sit outside on the back deck and eat. I enjoyed every minute of it. There came a point where Amelia had only taken a few bites of pizza and she was just sitting there. Christina reminded her that she needed to eat. Amelia held up both hands and said, “I need toys. I’ll be right back”. She left, but when she reappeared, she had a Barbie doll and kitchen set.
Gavin told us a story about how the night before during a cookout, he found a potato chip lodged in his nose. He said that he didn’t know how it got there. He was truly perplexed!
Later in the day, we met my sister at the track because she wanted to see how far she could run. She intends to do a 5K, so she wanted to test her endurance. Me, Kevin, Christina, Gavin and Amelia walked while Jennifer and Ashley ran. It was nice outside, but very windy.

Out Back
Hayleigh, one of Ashley’s classmates, spent the night last night. They played with Play Doh, dressed up, sang and listened to CD’s, watched Sleeping Beauty and then drifted off to sleep at 11:00. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought I would have to make them go to bed, but nope, they asked ME if they could go to bed. That’s the kind of sleepovers that I like! This morning they dragged the Play Doh back out, played Barbie’s, and painted their fingernails. They stayed out back playing pretty much all day because the weather was so nice.
Andrew went to West Virginia with my dad. He had to make a run for Palmer Engineering, the company that he works for, so Andrew went with him. Since he was gone and Ashley had company, I decided to get my laundry and ironing done. I had put the ironing off for a while, but I’m glad it’s over now!
My sister, Jennifer brought Jesse and Sydnee, her twins, over to play outside. They don’t have a fenced in backyard, so it’s much safer for her to bring them over here. They had a great time sliding down the slide! Jesse can drink out of a straw now! She’s just like a little bird! Later on, mom, Ashley, and I took Jesse and Sydnee for a walk. We walked a mile around the neighborhood and by the time we got back Dad was here with Andrew. They had eaten McDonald’s and talked all the way there and back according to Andrew. I’m glad they had such a good time.
