I watched an interesting video today on YouTube. It definitely wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but it kept me entertained. In the video, Shane Dawson was helping Jeffree Star organize his makeup collection. This sounds simple until you see just how much makeup Jeffree has collected. He said that he was gifted about 60% of it. Companies are hoping that he will mention them in a video, on Snapchat or Instagram Stories. It’s jaw dropping the amount of makeup that he has been gifted. He used some, gave some of it away, donated a lot of it and threw away the stuff that was expired.
I also watched a random vlogger’s video about makeup. She was showing all of the makeup that she was taking with her on vacation. It was more makeup than I have ever owned. She was taking three eye pallets. You wouldn’t believe how many brushes she was taking with her. I use two brushes. Two. She was taking at least ten. When I’m on vacation, I try to make things as easy as possible by taking as little as possible. The less I take in my suitcase, the happier I am. I don’t even take jewelry with me.
Everyone is different though and everyone likes different souvenirs. I like to buy a hoodie with the name of the place I visit written on the front. Hoodies take up space in a suitcase, so I leave lots of extra room. Also, we buy lots of food to review once we get home, and that takes up space. The last time we traveled to the UK, I put a small suitcase inside of a larger suitcase, so that once we bought things, I could fill the smaller one as well as the large one. I bought tons of books that year as well.
Makeup has never been one of my interests. Ashley is very knowledgeable when it comes to makeup and she enjoys the process. Where as I see it as a chore. I put it on as quickly as possible without really studying myself at all in the mirror. Oh, and once it is applied, I never touch it up. Some women carry makeup in their purse, but I never have. The only thing I carry is a tube of Blistex.
Now, I may not be knowledgeable about makeup, but I do admire someone with talent. Jeffree Star’s face is perfection. I have yet to see any flaws on his face. I don’t think he has one wrinkle and I’m a little jealous about that.
I am always amazed how much makeup products own.I the odd one in the bunch I don’t wear or own make.I may have aorn make up about ten times.I’m like you I dind it more of a chore than getting joy from it.

it. Also pallets are so much fun. I still think you should get your eyebrows done
I think it would really bring out your eyes.
Have you ever thought of growing out your bangs …it would look really cute and layer your hair.

Hi Tami! So happy I found your blog 🙂 it’s your sarah from California. I agree with you on Jeffree. I view him as an artist that paints his face and makes it look absolutely perfect. The series Shane did with him last year opened my eyes to that. I’m more similar to you where my sister loves makeup and enjoys the process.
