In February 2003, I started a blog called Tic Toc: Tami’s Clock. I enjoyed it immensely and kept it up until August of 2009. I never explained to anyone at that time why I left, but I will do that now. The reason is simple actually, I felt stifled. Too many people that I knew personally, in real life, had knowledge of the blog. I had expressed many opinions, some controversial. After receiving some not-so-nice comments from people who I knew were in my own community, I made the decision to call it a day and quit. Looking back, I realize that this was a mistake. I shouldn’t have been so concerned with what other people thought about me. I also should not have stopped blogging without saying goodbye to the friends I had made online. You can chalk that up to inexperience.
Being on YouTube these past few years has taught me a lot about myself. It has taught me that I am much tougher than I thought. I am allowed to have my own opinions and not everyone is going to agree with them and that’s okay.
This blog is a place where I plan to share things that you won’t necessarily see or hear about on YouTube. I plan to share old blog posts and pictures from years past as well as talk about things that are happening today. I hope to make this blog a fun place that you enjoy visiting each day.
I know sometimes it’s hard because I’ve been there myself-but never be afraid ti be you. You are allowed your own opinion on things-and if people have problems-then really-they were never really a friend. This world has become so divisive-“if you don’t agree with me…YOU”RE WRONG!!!!!!” What happened? Be you Tami-always-because in the end what are we if we can’t be the person we happen to be?
